"Dr. Coleman rarely ever tried to give me blanket advice or simple solutions when I presented certain problems or situations I was dealing with, nor did he ever only listen to me talk and then ‘diagnose’ me with a simplistic label to evaluate my mental state. Conversation with Dr. Coleman was much more dynamic and engaging because of his ability to ask meaningful questions and respond honestly, in real-time without passing judgment. Dr. Coleman’s skill set is diverse, and therefore, therapy conversations can be adapted to what works best for the patient at any given point of the session. I understood something new about myself or saw a situation from a far more interesting, reframed perspective in almost every session with Dr. Coleman. His style of therapy empowers the patient to ultimately be able to do these things independently in between sessions and in the years after therapy is complete."
